Hello! My name is Rachel Mey Charles and despite me submitting this website, I am not a computer science major. Promoting Social Justice in my Home Community

Just as it being discussed in the United States, immigration is a hot topic in the United Kingdom. The biggest immigration wave coming from the Carribean to the UK was from the 1948-1971 Windrush generation, however that doesn't mean that modern citizens of the British commonwealth aren't still wary of their status under British protections. Black Britons still face record high levels of discrimination and race motivated hate crimes are still increasing in Britain today. These modern attacks stem from the long standing history of British racism and cannot be divorced from the historical circumstances that allow these attack to still occur today.
This webpage will be another place where discussions are racism and discrimination in historical literature and history can occur, in tandem with modern day discussions. It will be my responsibility as the author and moderator of the page to facilitate these discussions. A page dedicated to resources and historically diverse foundations in Britian is garunteed.
