Hello! My name is Rachel Mey Charles and despite me submitting this website, I am not a computer science major. I am currently a sophmore at Davidson College and a double major in History and East Asian Studies. This website is my creative project, it is also the way that I intend to write about and share my experience with others after my experience abroad.

The Davidson in Cambridge Program (and what it means to me)
The Davidson in Cambridge program takes History and English Majors from all grade levels to Cambridge university for a short summer semester to study 1700 - 1800 British history and literature. Personally, I am not approaching this oppurtunity from the Anglophile lens, rather I am approaching this oppurtunity as a person coming from a Afro-Carribean background. This study abroad experience will be able to help me contextualize the culture that would support the need for a British empire.
