Fixation Of the Moment

[January 9, 2026] The second season of the Percy Jackson Show is currently airing and it is igniting my Percy Jackson phase in a way that it hasn't been touched in such a long time. I've always kept up with Percy Jackson stuff via the Percy Jackson podcast I've been listening to for the past few years, The Newest Olympian however this show is a different kind of beast for me. It feels so gratifying to see a black Annabeth and the show jump in quality from the flop that Season 1 was (for me personally).

My Current Shrine Pet Peeves

There are so many things that you can experience when you first join a fandom. Lots of wonderful fanart, fanfiction, cosplays (oh my!) and of course fan theories. It's what first drew me into fandom culture; spending my afternoons afterschool religiously watching video by the SuperCarlinBrothers about Harry Potter #893028 (they still do that btw lol). However, since the 2020 global pandemic, the fandom space has either gotten worse or I've become ultra aware of the discourse in fandom spaces. Here are some of my current fandom PET PEEVES:

    Age gap discourse for two adult characters: i.e Hualian and even fucking Dan and Phil
    Authors condone everything that they write about (geniunely no media literacy)
